Following Your Intuition

May 17, 2020

During times of drastic change we often find our first reaction is resistance and fear, but if we settle down and calm that loud fearful voice we can often hear the small, persistent voice of our intuition, our angels, or our higher power. It takes a little practice, understanding, and faith that we are not left to stumble and struggle through life alone. In fact, it takes real belief, or knowing that we are so much more than we appear to be and that we have so much more assistance, support, and guidance than what may be seen in our external circumstances. You see we are all equipped with an internal guidance system that works unfailingly to guide us in the direction of our highest good, but often we don’t trust that guidance, we can’t hear it over the constant mental chatter, or we don’t believe that we have within us something that can help us navigate life with confidence, ease, accuracy. People from all walks of life use and trust their intuition to make decisions, develop relationships, friendships, start or run businesses, choose careers or change careers, discover what their heart and soul is calling them to do and be, and every other aspect of life.

I started this year with the intention that I would dedicate myself to turning my passion for spiritual development, divine guidance, and intuitive living into a career. I wanted so much to help other people experience the effortlessness, fulfillment, joy, confidence, power, and potential that comes from developing their divine gifts, talents, skills, and genius. I wanted to help people realize that they can become the super heroes of their own lives! They are in fact the creative genius behind everything they are experiencing whether they are doing it intentionally or unintentionally and they have everything they need to recreate their experiences at any moment. It all comes down to what you make a priority in your life. If you choose to focus only on your external world. You will never find the deep, undisturbable happiness you seek. If you choose to focus on both your external and internal worlds equally, you will find a wellspring of abundance, joy, vibrant health, peace, love, synchronicity, infinite knowledge and wisdom, unimaginable strength and power, and a wholeness and completeness that is not conditional on external circumstances or approval.

I spend several hours each day cultivating my connection to my intuition, the angels, and my higher power and I have learned to know and trust my intuition and my divine guidance. So when a completely unexpected opportunity appeared in front of me that would lead me in a totally different direction than the one I had been developing and investing in for the past 2 years I decided to jump on it. I am not a spiritual master, nor do I believe I will ever be in this lifetime, so I did some meditating, some automatic writing, asked my higher power, and did an angel card reading before I took the next step. All of the guidance was reassuring and positive so I accepted this new opportunity and am going to see where it takes me, knowing that I can walk away from this new adventure anytime and go back to my first passion or something completely new.

That is the wonder, excitement, and fun that is Life! When we do it in collaboration with all of our abilities, tools, and support systems there is no such thing as failure. Disappointment, fear, frustration, anxiety, resentment, and every other painful emotion is toned way down, or even dismissed completely when we go with the flow and take it all with a grain of salt. Nothing is forever. Life is not meant to be a battle, challenge, horror story, or painful drama. We are all here to create and recreate ourselves and our lives in as many ways as we can envision, imagine, design, craft, develop, or dream. The obstacles that show up can be speed bumps that help us slow down and enjoy the scenery, ways to help us grow and decide what we want more or less of in our next scene, or opportunities to change direction. We get to choose what the meaning and purpose of each and every event is to us.

I am reducing my available hours for one-on one coaching. If you would like to work with me in that capacity send me a message on LinkedIn, email me from the contact page my website, or schedule a complimentary session with me on my website. I look forward to seeing what unfolds in the months to come and will keep you all in my heart and in my prayers as we all navigate uncharted territory with the knowledge and wisdom we currently possess.

I leave you with some wonderful quotes on intuition from names you may or may not recognize.

Love and blessings to you all!!

Brazilian model, environmental activist, author, actress, and businesswoman, Gisele Bundchen, who is one of the richest women in the entertainment industry has this to say about intuition: “The more you trust your intuition, the more empowered you become, the stronger you become, and the happier you become.”

The late personal development author, Shatki Gawain used intuition for every aspect of her career, “Your intuition will tell you where you need to go; it will connect you with people you should meet; it will guide you toward work that is meaningful for you – work that brings you joy, work that feels right for you.”

British fashion entrepreneur, Tamara Mellon, learned to always trust her intuition. “Everything I do is just really my intuition, and every time I go against my intuition, it’s a mistake. Even though I may sit down and analyze and intellectualize something on paper, if I go against my gut feeling, it’s wrong.”

The late business magnate, Steve Jobs, was a firm believer in following your intuition and your heart, “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.”

Personal development author, speaker, and alternative medicine advocate, Deepak Chopra says that intuition is simply a part of becoming more spiritually aware, “Enlightened leadership is spiritual if we understand spirituality not as some kind of religious dogma or ideology but as the domain of awareness where we experience values like truth, goodness, beauty, love and compassion, and also intuition, creativity, insight and focused attention.”

Actress, Kate Winslet said, “One of the reasons I’ve never done intensive psychotherapy or any of that stuff is that if there’s anything in me that needs fixing, I want to know that I can rely on my own intuition to fix it.”

Singer Latoya Luckett uses her intuition when choosing friends and relationships. “Never ignore your intuition about friendships and people’s intentions towards you.”

Eileen Cady spiritual teacher and new age author, best known as one of the founders of the Findhorn Foundation community had this to say about intuition, “Cease trying to work everything out with your minds. It will get you nowhere. Live by intuition and inspiration and let your whole life be Revelation.

Yoga instructor, Tara Stiles, pointed out that often our environment teaches us to distrust our own wisdom. “We all have the power, intuition, and ability to think and act for ourselves until we give that power away. We give our power away because we’re bullied into thinking we aren’t good enough and someone else must know better than us; therefore, we should give over our instincts and act according to instruction.”

British actor, Dan Stevens, follows his intuition when choosing roles and opportunities. “The comfort zone is the great enemy to creativity; moving beyond it necessitates intuition, which in turn configures new perspectives and conquers fears.”

Indian actress and filmmaker, Kangana Ranaut, has this to say about intuition, “I followed my instincts; I followed my intuition, and it paid off.”

Author and speaker, Charles Eisenstein says this about intuition, “Trust your intuition and be guided by love.”
