You are learning to love and trust yourself. More importantly, you are learning that your capacity to love others is directly related to your own self-love. Everything you believe, think, and feel about others changes when you truly embrace and love yourself as you are. True happiness will elude you until you do. Release all of your self-imposed judgments and learn to see the divinity within. Your true essence is a divine spark of light and love, regardless of what your life has been up to this point. You have simply been reflecting what you have believed about yourself, what others convinced you about yourself until now. Rejoice in the glory of who you are and what you do. What you do and how you do it is a demonstration of the person you are and the beliefs you hold about life and yourself. So stop for a moment and pat yourself on the back for doing and being all that has been up to this point. Honor you characteristics and your special gifts. Every gift you possess is a reflection of the Creator.
If order to have healthy, strong, safe, happy, supportive relationships with others or heal damage relationships you have to start with your relationship with yourself. Have compassion for all of your experiences and your behaviors in the past and present. Recognize how far you have come. Start to redefine your relationship with yourself deliberately and purposefully. Loving yourself means being kind to yourself, having good intentions toward yourself, doing nice things for yourself, and forgiving yourself for your perceived mistakes and failings. See the beauty and perfection in who you really are. There is no one else quite like you on this planet at this point in time and there never has been or ever will be someone exactly like you living the life you are experiencing right now. Celebrate your uniqueness and acknowledge all of your accomplishments.
The sharing of your wisdom, laughter and love is the Holy Spirit expressed in Its highest form. Your life is a journey, an adventure, and remember that you are doing the absolute best you can do at any given moment on your path with the skills, knowledge, wisdom, and awareness that you have. So have compassion for yourself, release any shame, guilt, blame, and resentment you carry with you. Stop loitering in the past. The past can be recalled as a learning tool, but don’t settle yourself there or you’ll miss all of the good and wonderful opportunities and experiences in your present. Don’t accept other’s opinions of you as important or accurate – they are either reflections of the beliefs you hold about yourself, or projections of their own past experiences and misconceptions. Love yourself unconditionally because you are the only person who will be with you throughout your entire life. Why not choose to make that relationship one of best friends instead of worst enemies? Love yourself the way you long to be loved by your partner, your family, and your friends. Love yourself like you are the most amazing, gorgeous, brilliant, talented, capable, generous, kind-hearted, compassionate, perfect light of the world – because you are! Delight in your holiness. Revere your divinity. Acclaim the beautiful soul you are! Love yourself like your life depends on it – because it does.
