The What, Whys, and Hows of Coronavirus: Prevention and Tips for Physical & Financial Recovery

With all of the news, media, and government focus on the Coronavirus it makes you wonder what they know that we don’t Is is just a ploy to boost ratings, increase campaign support, and produce heroes for political and financial motives or should we really be terrified about this virus? Fear really is the worst emotion to promote during any challenge or emergency, but it is also the best way to get people on board for whatever it is that your selling. We need to move away from the fear factory and panic the media and governments have created around coronavirus. This does not have to be a crisis. We are turning it into a crisis by falling into fear mode and behaving like we are in some kind of Robin Cook movie.

The Physical Details and Support

Here are some facts about the common flu to put things in perspective: CDC estimates that the influenza has resulted in between 9 million – 45 million illnesses, between 140,000 – 810,000 hospitalizations and between 12,000 – 61,000 deaths annually since 2010. (

Here are some facts that should ease some minds from board certified, Yale trained MD, Aviva Romm, who has also also studied and worked with some of the best infectious disease doctors in the world during over 5 years of training in medicine at Yale, and who has treated countless cases of severe infectious diseases in patients in internal medicine and the ICU.

*As the numbers continue to climb, there is a very good chance you or someone you know will get COVID-19, but 85% of people who do will have nothing more than a mild to moderate cold or flu-like symptoms.

I wanted to share some tips for keeping your immune system strong enough to resist the illness.

Take 3,000mg to 4,000mg of liposomal Vitamin C daily in divided doses (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Liposomal C is the most readily absorbable C currently available.
Take 5000 IU of D3 with 500mcg of K2 a day for 2 weeks, then reduce dosage to 2000 IU of D3 and 200mcg of K2.
Take 600mg of Magnesium (Citrate, Chloride, Malate or Glycinate) daily.
Take 20mg of Zinc daily (Gluconate, Sulfate, or Picolinate) *Do not take more than this as too much Zinc can make you ill.
Take 100mcg of Selenium daily. *Do Not take more than this as you can take to much and make yourself sick.

Wash Your Hands with Regular Soap, not anti-bacterial. Anti-bacterial soaps strip the natural good bacteria from your skin and make you more susceptible to illness.
Don’t stress about catching the virus. Stress lowers your immune system response.

New evidence from China shows that vitamin C saved the lives of a number of patients who were critical with COVID-19 respiratory infection. In the event, Dr. Mao eventually treated about 50 patients with moderate to severe illness with intravenous vitamin C, using doses of 10-20 g a day for 7-10 days.

As he reported last week in an online meeting to an international group of prominent doctors, scientists and health-care workers, all patients who received intravenous vitamin C improved, and there was no mortality. Zero.

The patients receiving vitamin C also had shorter hospital stays (by 3-5 days) than patients receiving standard medical treatment, who stayed in the hospital an average of 30 days.

For one thing, coronavirus patients mostly die from pneumonia. And vitamin C has a long history of being able to fight pneumonia. Doctors like Klenner showed that even relatively modest doses (like 1000mg intravenously followed by 500 mg every hour) were helpful.

Surgeons at a hospital in Buffalo, New York, even used vitamin C as a preventative against pneumonia, and found a ‘complete disappearance of this complication.’ Even relatively tiny (200 mg/day) of vitamin C resulted in an 80 percent decrease in deaths among the respiratory patients who were severely ill.

The great news is that it doesn’t have to be the exotic kind, such as liposomal vitamin C, or the buffered variety with magnesium. Just the cheap ascorbate works just as well.

I have been sick all week with some sort of flu and while I have been taking my supplements and herbs – Vitamin C, Magnesium, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Nettle, Selenium, B complex, Zinc, vitamin D3, NAC, Astragalus, and Elderberry, I wasn’t recovering as fast as I had hoped. Spiritual, Mental, Emotional Support

As the media and governments continue such drama and fear around coronavirus it’s necessary for us to find ways to support our emotional, mental, and physical well-being so we don’t fall into panic and irrational behavior. This is an opportunity for a universal awakening where we all realize that helping one another helps each and every one of us individually. Regardless of what’s going on in your life or the world it’s always a good idea to practice raising your vibes regularly. We tend to fall back into old patterns and habits when we aren’t focusing our attention on what’s going on inside.

We are in the midst of a massive planetary transformation. Keep your minds and hearts centered in love, compassion and gratitude so we can all weather this storm with strength and wisdom. The blessings that come out of all of this turmoil will be unimaginable!!

There are so many things that can make this time in isolation valuable. Meditate, pray, listening to healing music, get outside, read a book that empowers you or expands your mind. Take a class that helps you grow or develop a new way of living, doing, being. Call friends and family. Start a garden. Do qi gong, energy medicine, yoga, ti chi, or take a walk with your pet. Paint, color, write, draw, sing, dance, clean, or play with your fur baby.

Financial Resources

With all of the chaos and working people in the food and retail industry being told to stay home it may seem frustrating and concerning to imagine how bills will be paid. Now is the time for communities to come together to support one another through this challenge. Social media is not going to save us unless we all figure out how to make up for lost wages online in a few days.

Why don’t the people that are healthy and who are being forced to stay home connect with parents that still have to go to work and offer child care and pet sitting services to supplement their income until everything calms down? You can post ads on FB, Twitter, instagram or even go to sites like childcare network,, zum, urbansitter, and sittercity.

If this is not a viable option and you have some artistic talents or furniture, clothes, and shoes you been looking for the time to sell here is your opportunity. There are all kinds of apps and websites that help people sell their art, crafts, furniture, clothes, shoes, etc. Etsy, ebay, amazon, letgo, bonanza, craigslist, cash4books, poshmark, and offerup are just a few.

One last idea that may require some consideration – if you live in an area that is being hit hard by the virus you may find an opportunity to assist your local hospital or clinic in some form or fashion that can provide you with the funds you need to get through this period of instability.

With a little intuition, creativity, common sense, and ingenuity we can all help one another weather this storm with dignity, grace, and ease.
